His First UK Headline Shows Since 2013

Jay-Z played London on September 4 and 5, 2026, marking his first solo headline shows in the UK since the Magna Carta World Tour stopped at The O2 Arena back in 2013. That's a 13-year gap.

The shows are part of "JAY-Z 30," a year-long celebration marking 30 years since his first album, Reasonable Doubt, and 25 years since The Blueprint. London was Jay-Z's only UK stop of the whole campaign.

Night One: A Fugees Reunion and a Birthday Surprise

Friday's show (September 4) opened with Idris Elba delivering the spoken-word intro from Jay-Z's American Gangster album. From there, Jay-Z tore through a 36-song set spanning his entire catalog, starting with "Pray" before moving into "Bam."

UK rapper Giggs came out to perform his own song "Talkin the Hardest," mashed up with Jay-Z's "Welcome to the Jungle." DJ Khaled also joined the stage for "God Did." Then came the night's biggest surprise: Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean walked out for a mini Fugees reunion, running through "Ready or Not," "Killing Me Softly," and "Fu-Gee-La."

Jay-Z also paused the show to celebrate Beyoncé's 45th birthday, leading the crowd in singing "Happy Birthday" as fireworks went off. Beyoncé watched from a private suite. The night closed with a mashup of "Niggas in Paris" and "Big Pimpin'," followed by "Public Service Announcement (Interlude)" and "Numb/Encore." Famous faces in the crowd included David Beckham, Cynthia Erivo, and Michael B. Jordan.

Night Two: Dave and Sampha Close It Out

Saturday's show (September 5) had a different lineup of guests. UK rapper Dave came out to perform his hit "Raindance," which reportedly got the loudest reaction of the whole night. Sampha also joined Jay-Z on stage for "No Church in the Wild."

Madonna and Little Simz were both spotted watching the show, along with Central Cee, Tinie Tempah, KSI, Sabrina Elba, and Bashy. None of them performed, but their presence made it clear how big a deal these shows were.
