Meet Lofi Night, a cozy rainy-night window scene in VibeSynced. Rain drifts down the glass, a fire crackles in the corner, and the room glows warm against the storm outside. Built for slow, chill listening sessions.
What Lofi Night looks like
Instead of abstract particles, Lofi Night renders a full scene: rain streaking down a windowpane, condensation droplets sliding in real time, a softly glowing fireplace, and an occasional shooting star out past the rain. It's the most literal, "sit in a room" visual in VibeSynced, built to feel like a place rather than an effect.
How your music drives it
Lofi Night uses four independent frequency channels to animate the scene. Each one controls a different layer of the visual:
| Band | What it controls | Sounds in this range |
|---|---|---|
| Bass | Rain intensity and the size of the fireplace's flicker. | Kick drum, sub-bass |
| Mid | Movement speed of ambient details, window droplets and room glow. | Vocals, keys, guitar |
| Treble | Sparkle on rain droplets and shooting star frequency. | Hi-hats, airy pads |
| Volume | Overall warmth and brightness of the room. | Loudness, swells |
Music that works best with Lofi Night
Lofi Night was designed for slow, cozy, low-energy sessions, the kind of music you'd put on to study, wind down, or fall asleep to.
- Lo-fi hip-hop, the scene it was basically built to sit behind.
- Chillhop and jazzhop, soft drums and mellow samples fit the room's pace.
- Sleep and ambient, slow movement is calming at low volume in a dark room.
- Acoustic and bedroom pop, quieter, intimate tracks match the room's mood.
If you want something similarly slow-paced but more abstract, Waves is the other option, spectral light instead of a physical room. Faster or busier music won't leave enough space for either scene to breathe.
Tips for getting the most out of Lofi Night
1. Combine it with Theater Mode. Press T to clear the UI. The room fills the whole screen with nothing else in the way.
2. Dim the actual room you're in. The contrast between the glowing window and a dark room around you is what sells the effect.
3. Loop a long lofi stream. This scene works best with hours-long background listening.
Open VibeSynced → click Particles in the top nav → select LOFI NIGHT in the Visual Engine grid. Then load a track and press T for theater mode.
