The short version
VibeSynced does not collect your name, email, or any personal information. We do not store your music. The only data collected is anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics — page views, session length, and device type.
No account is required. Your uploaded audio files never leave your browser. Read on for the full details.
Data we collect
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use VibeSynced. Google Analytics automatically collects:
This data is aggregated and anonymized. We use it only to improve the site. We do not use it to identify individual users.
MP3 files you upload are processed entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. They are never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and are discarded when you close or refresh the tab.
When you search for or stream a YouTube video, your query and the resulting video data are fetched via the YouTube Data API. This data is handled by Google's infrastructure. We do not log or store your YouTube search queries.
VibeSynced uses your browser's localStorage to remember whether you have acknowledged the epilepsy warning. This value stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Cookies and tracking
VibeSynced itself does not set any first-party cookies.
Google Analytics sets cookies on your browser to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These typically include _ga and _ga_*. These cookies expire after two years.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts (such as uBlock Origin).
Third-party services
Google Analytics and the YouTube Data API are services operated by Google LLC. Google's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
If you choose to make a voluntary donation, you are taken to Ko-fi's platform. Any payment information you provide is handled entirely by Ko-fi. VibeSynced does not receive or process your payment data.
We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. Because VibeSynced does not collect personally identifiable information and does not sell data, most CCPA provisions do not apply in practice. However, you may contact us at any time with questions or requests.
To stop Google Analytics from tracking your visits, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or use a privacy-focused browser setting or extension.
VibeSynced is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
