FAQ

Everything you need to know

Common questions about VibeSynced — from getting started to camera controls and everything in between.

Getting started

Is VibeSynced free to use?

Yes — completely free, with nothing to download or install. It runs right in your browser.

Do I need to create an account?

No account needed. Open the app, add your music, and press play — that's it.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. VibeSynced works on desktop, tablet, and phone. Any modern browser with WebGL support will do.

Is my audio data private?

Yes. All audio processing happens on your device using the Web Audio API and WebGL. Your music is never uploaded to any server.

YouTube & playlists

Can I visualize a YouTube video?

Yes. Open the Tracks panel, paste any YouTube URL, and the visuals will move along with the audio as it plays.

Can I use a YouTube playlist?

Yes. Paste a YouTube playlist URL and VibeSynced loads all the tracks. Use the previous and next controls to navigate between songs.

Does the YouTube video show on screen?

A small Picture-in-Picture player appears in the top-left corner of the visualizer. You can minimize or hide it to keep the focus on the visuals.

What audio files can I upload?

MP3 files. You can drag and drop them directly onto the screen, or browse for them using the Tracks panel. Your songs stay on your device — they're never sent anywhere.

Can I upload multiple songs?

Yes. Every file you upload is saved in the Tracks panel for the session. You can switch between them at any time without re-uploading.

Visualization modes

What visual styles are available?

There are five scenes to choose from:

Galaxy — a 3D WebGL particle vortex that pulses with the music.
Shapes — morphing animal silhouettes (butterfly, eagle, bat) that react to every beat.
Doodle — hand-drawn organic animation with a loose, sketchy feel.
Sunset — a scenic ocean and sky with sparkles, embers, shooting stars, and fireflies.
Techno — grid-based ribbons and cascading light waves.

Can I switch visualizations while music is playing?

Yes. Open the Scenes panel and tap any mode — it switches instantly without interrupting playback.

What is "Surprise Me"?

Surprise Me is a hands-free mode that automatically cycles visual settings in time with the music, so you can sit back and let the app run the show.

Keyboard shortcuts

What keyboard shortcuts are available?

T — toggle theater mode, a full-screen cinematic view with the UI hidden.
R — reset the camera to its default position.

How do I control the camera in Galaxy mode?

Rotate — left-click and drag.
Pan — right-click and drag, or hold Shift and drag.
Zoom — scroll up or down.

Is there a way to share my setup with someone?

Not yet — but it's on the radar. For now, you can describe the visual mode and BPM settings you're using and recreate them in a new session.
