Meet City, a neon synthwave night drive in VibeSynced. Glowing skyscrapers and passing traffic scroll by under a starry sky. Built for retro-electronic and night-driving music.
What City looks like
City puts you low on a neon-lit street, driving past skyscrapers, mid-rises, and the occasional supertower, all lit up in cyan, violet, hot pink, and amber. Traffic passes in both directions, each car cycling through its own neon hue. Shooting stars streak the sky above the skyline as the scene keeps moving forward.
How your music drives it
City uses four independent frequency channels to animate the scene. Each one controls a different layer of the visual:
| Band | What it controls | Sounds in this range |
|---|---|---|
| Bass | Driving speed and road-pulse intensity. | Kick drum, sub-bass |
| Mid | How many building windows are lit and traffic density. | Synths, arps, vocals |
| Treble | Neon glow intensity and light-streak length. | Hi-hats, shimmer, cymbals |
| Volume | Overall brightness of the skyline. | Loudness, swells |
Music that works best with City
City was built around late night vibes.
- Contemporary R&B, try Frank Ocean - "Nights".
- R&B/Soul, try "NOBLE" - F3mii.
Very slow or ambient tracks will make the drive feel sluggish, the road and traffic need a steady pulse to move convincingly. If you want something unhurried, Waves or Lofi Night fit better.
Tips for getting the most out of City
1. Combine it with Theater Mode. Press T to clear the UI. The scene turns your screen into a full windshield view.
2. Build a night-driving playlist. This scene is basically built for them.
3. Use it for retro-themed streams or recordings. The aesthetic reads well on camera or through OBS capture.
4. Pair with a projector or TV. The depth of the skyline benefits from a bigger screen.
Open VibeSynced → click Particles in the top nav → select CITY in the Visual Engine grid. Then load a track and press T for theater mode.
