Agreement
By accessing or using VIBESYNCED ("the Service") at vibesynced.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
VIBESYNCED is operated as an independent project. References to "we," "us," or "our" refer to VIBESYNCED. You can reach us at support@vibesynced.com.
The service
VIBESYNCED is a browser-based music visualizer. It allows you to upload MP3 audio files from your device or stream audio from YouTube URLs, and renders real-time audio-reactive WebGL visuals in your browser.
You can use the visualizer without an account. Creating a free account is optional and unlocks features like adding friends, sending scenes, naming rooms, saving playlists, and a public profile. The Service is free to use. Paid memberships (Pro and the Founder Pass) are optional and add extras, as described under Memberships and payments below.
All audio analysis and visualization processing happens locally in your browser. MP3 files you upload are never transmitted to our servers and are not stored or accessed by us. Your most recent upload is kept only in your own browser's storage so you can continue where you left off.
YouTube audio is streamed directly from YouTube's infrastructure and is subject to YouTube's own terms of service.
We make no guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any downtime or interruption.
Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating one, you confirm that you are 13 or older. Each account is for one person; don't create an account for someone else or share yours.
While you are signed in, VIBESYNCED records which YouTube songs you play and for how long, to power the Listening stats and Activity sections of your profile. This is on by default and you can turn it off at any time in Edit profile under Listening history. Turning it off stops the recording and deletes what was saved. Whether other people see your stats, activity, or playlists is a separate choice you make with the switches on the same page. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your password private, and don't forward sign-in or password-reset emails: anyone with those links can get into your account while they are valid. If you think someone else has access, reset your password and contact us.
Keep your email address up to date in Account settings. We use it to sign you in and to send account and security emails, which are part of the Service. We don't send marketing emails.
Your handle, display name, avatar, and anything you name or share, such as scenes and rooms, must follow the Acceptable use rules below. In particular, they must not:
Handles are not owned. We may change or remove a handle that breaks these rules, that impersonates or misleads, or that is held only to stop others from using it.
You can delete your account at any time from Account settings. Deletion is permanent.
We may suspend or delete an account, with or without notice, if it breaks these Terms, puts other users or the Service at risk, or if we are required to by law.
We may also delete accounts that have not been signed in to for two years. We will email the account's address before doing so.
Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when an account is deleted.
Memberships and payments
VIBESYNCED offers two optional paid memberships for signed-in accounts:
Members get extras such as more playlists and songs per playlist, profile photos, and avatar borders. What each membership includes is described where you buy it, and we may add to it over time. A membership belongs to the account that bought it and cannot be transferred or shared.
Payments are handled by Stripe through its Managed Payments service. Stripe is the seller of record: it takes your payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies, and provides order support. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to your purchase.
Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. We will tell you before we change the price of a subscription you already have, and a new price applies from your next renewal.
You can cancel Pro at any time from Account in the app, which opens Stripe's billing page. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep your Pro features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription, so cancel first.
Refunds for Pro and the Founder Pass are handled by Stripe under the Managed Payments terms shown at checkout, together with any rights you have under the law where you live. Contact us at support@vibesynced.com or use the link in your Stripe receipt. When a payment is fully refunded, the membership it paid for ends. A refunded Founder Pass is released and its number may be given to someone else.
When Pro ends, you keep the playlists, songs, and profile photo you already have, but you cannot add more than the free limits allow, and member-only avatar borders stop being shown. We may end a membership without a refund if the account is closed for breaking these Terms.
Your responsibilities
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Third-party services
VIBESYNCED uses the YouTube Data API to enable streaming of YouTube content. By using the YouTube feature, you also agree to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We are not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Pro and the Founder Pass are sold through Stripe Managed Payments. See Memberships and payments above and Stripe's legal terms.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is collected and how to opt out.
Health and safety
VIBESYNCED displays rapidly flashing lights, strobing effects, and high-contrast animated visuals. These may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy or other conditions. A warning is shown before the visualizer loads.
If you or someone near you experiences discomfort, dizziness, or a seizure while using the Service, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
We are not liable for any adverse health effects resulting from use of the Service.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service is error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VIBESYNCED and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the United States.
