Aitana Martin Garrix 2026 Update: Spanish Song on MARTY

Martin Garrix and Aitana have teamed up on his first Spanish-language song, which will appear on his upcoming album MARTY. Consequence reported that Garrix confirmed it in an interview with Rolling Stone Canada. Here's what we know, why it matters, and what's still missing.

Is Aitana on Martin Garrix's MARTY Album?

The song: a collab with Aitana, and Garrix's first in Spanish.
The title: not announced yet.
The album: MARTY has 14 songs and is due March 5, 2027, via Darkroom Records and STMPD RCRDS, according to Consequence.
The single date: none announced yet.
The preview: Garrix reportedly played the song in Mexico City on October 16.

Fans had guessed at this pairing for years. Consequence says the rumors began in 2023, when Garrix followed Aitana on Instagram, and came back this year after she commented on one of his posts.

Why Is a Spanish Song a Big Deal for Garrix?

Garrix calls MARTY his first pop album, unlike his club-focused 2022 debut Sentio. He sings solo on 4 tracks, including "Catharina" and "This Dream Of You."

The guest list is big too: Madonna ("Bizarre"), U2 ("Fireflies") and Ed Sheeran ("Rewind Repeat It").

New to Aitana? She's a Spanish pop singer with 3 albums: Spoiler (June 7, 2019), 11 Razones (December 11, 2020) and Alpha (September 22, 2023). She's now on her Cuarto Azul World Tour, with Movistar Arena shows in Buenos Aires and Mexico dates later this month.

Who Is Aitana, and How Did She Land a Martin Garrix Feature?

Aitana Ocaña is a pop singer from Barcelona, born June 27, 1999. She got her start on the 2017 season of the Spanish talent show Operación Triunfo, where she finished as runner-up.

Her breakout hit was "Lo malo," a duet with Ana Guerra that reached No. 1 in Spain. She then signed with Universal Music Spain, and her first solo single, "Teléfono," also hit No. 1 there.

What Could This Mean for Aitana?

This is our read: A spot on an album that also features Madonna, U2 and Ed Sheeran puts her in front of listeners who may never have heard Spanish-language pop.

Garrix also plays huge festival crowds. If the song becomes a single, it could reach many of those fans. Aitana already sells out arenas at home, so the bigger gain would be new listeners abroad.
