Grammys 2027 Album of the Year Predictions

The nominations aren't out yet, so everything below is a guess. It's based on early odds, expert predictions, and the submissions list. The eligibility window runs from roughly August 31, 2025 to late August 2026.

Album of the Year

Will get in: Olivia Rodrigo, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Kalshi-based odds give it a 94% chance of a nomination and about a 46% chance to win. These are early numbers, not facts.
Will get in: Olivia Dean, The Art of Loving. Total Music Awards calls her a lock.
Could surprise: Rosalía's LUX, Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl, Noah Kahan's The Great Divide, and Bruno Mars' The Romantic. All are being tipped, but none is certain.

Swift has an edge on history. Billboard notes she's been nominated for Album of the Year with each of her last 4 regular studio albums.

The Wild Cards

Could surprise: KATSEYE. Forbes lists the group among the 2027 submissions. Being submitted doesn't mean being nominated, so this is a long shot. (More: KATSEYE's Wild EP and the Ed Sheeran link.)
Could surprise: Ella Langley. Billboard says a Best New Artist rule change means she could be nominated in several general-field categories.

Which Big Artists Skipped the 2027 Grammys?

According to Billboard, Drake, BTS, and Stray Kids chose not to submit their projects this year. That means none of them can show up on the list on November 16.

It also opens space for other artists. Fewer huge names in the race could help the long shots above.

What Happens After the Grammy 2027 Nominations List?

Final-round voting runs from December 10, 2026 to January 7, 2027. First-round voting already wrapped up October 12 to 22.

The 69th Grammy Awards then air live on February 7 on ABC, Disney+, and Hulu. For the first time, the show is simulcast exclusively on those three.
