Quavo and Offset are getting back together to finish what Migos started. Quavo just confirmed the two are making one final Migos album and a tour, both meant to honor Takeoff, their groupmate who died in November 2022. Here's what's actually been said, why it took four years to get here, and when the album might actually come out.

Watch Migos' Biggest Hit, "Bad and Boujee"

"Bad and Boujee" ft. Lil Uzi Vert, Migos' biggest hit and a #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100.

Before we get into the news, here's a reminder of what made Migos huge in the first place. "Bad and Boujee" came out in 2016, hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and turned Migos from a rap group into a full-blown internet moment.

What Quavo Actually Said

In two radio interviews on September 11, 2026 (V-103 Atlanta and Hot 97), Quavo confirmed he and Offset are working on new Migos music. "We coming back. We're going to do it one more time. Long live the Rocket," he said, using the group's nickname for Takeoff. "There's more. We going to tour. We going to do it right."

He also explained the reasoning behind it: "At the same time, we missing the Rocket, so we want to make sure we honor him and make sure we have the right tools to make the music sound original as if he was here." He added, "We owe the fans at least the music. What he was working on and what we still had. The legacy must still go on."

Why This Took Four Years

Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston in November 2022, and Migos effectively broke up right after. What a lot of fans don't know is that Quavo and Offset didn't stay close in the time after that. The two had a real falling out, including a tense moment caught on camera backstage at the Grammys not long after Takeoff's death, and they mostly stayed apart through 2023.

Things slowly got better from there. The two shared a stage again at the 2023 BET Awards for an emotional tribute performance. By 2024, they were publicly on good terms again, wishing each other happy birthday and marking Takeoff's anniversary together. The real turning point came after the death of fellow rapper Rich Homie Quan, when Quavo posted about having a "good convo" with Offset. Offset later said the two now talk "every other week," and the pair were spotted in the studio together earlier in 2026, right before this album news broke.

Will Takeoff's Real Voice Be on the Album?

Yes, and Quavo was clear about this part. The album will not use AI to recreate Takeoff's voice. Instead, it's built around Takeoff's own studio recordings and verses from before he died, the music he was already working on with the group. The plan is simply to finish what the three of them started together.

When Could the Album Come Out? (And How Many Songs?)

Here's the honest answer: nobody knows yet. Quavo and Offset haven't announced a release date, a title, or a song count, and there's been no official label statement, just these radio interview comments so far. Anything beyond that is a guess.

With that said, here's our best guess based on the timeline so far. Quavo already has a separate solo album, "Qrömelife," coming October 2, 2026, so it's unlikely the Migos album lands before that. Projects built around a late artist's unfinished verses also tend to take a long time to put together respectfully. If we had to bet, we'd guess sometime in 2027, with somewhere around 10 to 15 songs, enough for a full album without dragging it out. Again, that's just a guess, not confirmed information, so treat any exact date or tracklist you see elsewhere with caution until Quavo, Offset, or their label says it officially.

What About the Tour?

Same story here. Quavo confirmed a tour is planned, but no cities, dates, or ticket info exist yet. Expect that to come after the music itself is closer to ready.
