KATSEYE's Daniela is stepping out on her own, and she says fans haven't seen everything yet. She's the first face of a new brand platform, and she told Billboard, "I think there's still so much of me that I want people to get to know!" Her group is also expecting a big moment in January 2027. Here's what Daniela said, when Sophia is due back, and the numbers behind KATSEYE's year.

How Did KATSEYE Get Here in 2026?

It's been a huge year. WILD, the group's third EP, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in August. Its 170,000 first-week units combine sales and streams.

The video for "Hootie Frutti" came out on August 14, 2026. It hit 100 million YouTube views in 40 days, the fastest of any KATSEYE video.

The song also debuted at No. 16 on the UK Official Singles Chart. That's KATSEYE's fifth UK Top 40 single of 2026. No girl group had done that in one calendar year since Little Mix in 2021.

The group is on the road, too. The Wildworld Tour began in Dublin on September 1 and has recently reached North America.

What's New With Daniela Avanzini Outside the Group?

Daniela Avanzini is a Venezuelan-Cuban American from Atlanta. She says that heritage shapes how she dances and performs.

She describes her style as "cool chic with a little Y2K influence." The Lounge campaign is her first solo brand face role.

The bigger signal is what she wants next. She said she'd love to keep exploring different sides of her personality "through fashion, music, and other creative projects." The word "music" is the one to notice.

Nothing has been announced about a Daniela solo project. Any talk of one is a guess for now.

What Did Daniela Say About Sophia Coming Back?

Sophia stepped away in August to focus on her mental health. HYBE and Geffen Records say she's expected to rejoin in January 2027.

Daniela said, "Having Sophia back with us is so special."

What Did Daniela Say About Manon?

At Paris Fashion Week in early October, Daniela said she misses Manon Bannerman and wishes her well. Asked why Manon left, she said she wasn't sure.
