How Many Fans Saw BTS in South America?

BTS drew 853,000 fans across 14 sold-out shows in 5 cities on the South America leg of the Arirang tour. The leg started in Bogotá on October 2 and ended with three São Paulo nights on October 28, 30 and 31.

Every one of the 14 shows sold out. That's a lot of stadium seats filled in a single month.

The 5 Cities and 14 Show Dates

The leg covered five cities in five countries. Here's the full route:

The shows moved the local economy too. Bogotá flight bookings rose 46.6% year over year.

In Lima, ride-hailing demand hit 15 times normal on the first day. In Buenos Aires, the concerts were estimated to generate 53 billion Argentine pesos (about $34.5 million) in activity, and 96% of attendees came from outside La Plata.

BTS Firsts in Colombia, Argentina and Peru

This leg had three firsts. BTS played Colombia and Argentina as a full group for the first time.

The group also visited Peru for the first time. For fans in those countries, that's years of waiting finally over.

Returning to Chile After 9 Years and Brazil After 7

BTS came back to Chile after 9 years. It returned to Brazil after 7 years.

The first São Paulo show on October 28 drew about 85,000 people. The group then played two more nights at the same stadium.

No full São Paulo setlist has been confirmed. Based on the tour opener in Goyang on April 9, the main set began with "Hooligan" and "Aliens" and ended with "IDOL". The encore included "Butter" and "Dynamite".

That opener also had five live debuts: "they don't know 'bout us," "Merry Go Round," "Come Over," "Please" and "Into the Sun." A preview says the set barely changes from show to show, so treat this as a guess, not the exact São Paulo order.

What BTS Said at the End of the Leg

The group sent a short thank-you after the last show. They said: "One of the happiest memories of our lives were made here, and we'll cherish these memories as we head back."

Where the Arirang Tour Goes Next
