Rockstar just gave GTA VI its own soundtrack, and six songs from it dropped today with almost no warning. GTA VI: The Album is a 34-track companion album packed with real artists, including Travis Scott, Future, Metro Boomin, Morgan Wallen, and even Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. The full album, plus vinyl and CD versions, arrives November 19.

Grand Theft Auto V came out on September 17, 2013, 13 years ago today. It became one of the best-selling games ever made and stayed relevant for over a decade thanks to GTA Online, which is still getting updates in 2026. A big part of why people remember it so fondly is the radio: more than 20 stations packed with real songs, playing everything from hip-hop to classic rock while you drove around Los Santos.

What's New in GTA 6

GTA VI moves the action to Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida, basically a stand-in for modern-day Florida. This time there are two playable leads, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, whose easy score goes wrong and drags them into a much bigger mess across the state. Lucia is the first woman to headline a mainline GTA game. It launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The music is a bigger swing too. Instead of licensing old songs for the radio like GTA 5 did, Rockstar teamed up with Atlantic Records to make GTA VI: The Album — 34 brand-new, original songs made specifically for the game, not old tracks pulled off a shelf. Six are out right now:

GTA 5's soundtrack worked like a real radio dial, old and new songs mixed together, most of them hits you already knew. GTA VI flips that completely. Nothing on this album existed before Rockstar commissioned it, and the genres are all over the map: country from Morgan Wallen, reggaeton from Rauw Alejandro, a rock legend in his 80s in Keith Richards, and glitchy pop from PinkPantheress and Fred again.. on the same tracklist.

It's less "here's a playlist of songs you already love" and more "here's a brand-new soundtrack built to be its own pop-culture moment," dropping months before anyone can even play the game.
